Overview

The HP Bill Shock Prevention solution helps mobile operators address the high roaming charges related to mobile data services. This end-to-end solution helps mobile service providers meet the new EU data roaming regulations to address subscribers' bill shock concerns.

It is based upon our reliable real-time charging foundation, roaming user database functionality and subscriber notification mechanism. This end-to-end solution offers critical capabilities, including maintaining subscriber-level information about each user's predefined spending limits and current accumulated usage. An external notification mechanism alerts subscribers when spending limit thresholds or user-defined limits are reached. Then service is blocked until the user makes an active decision to continue. This puts cost control right back into consumers' hands.
