Telecom Italia Media (TIM) is the third largest broadcaster in Italy, offering free-to-view and pay-per-view channels and services. The most popular of the networks offered include MTV and LA7. Telecom Italia Media also provides WebTv.
Solution overview
The HP Control Room solution enables TIM to better manage the quality of the user experience over IP. The company is able to monitor more than 30 signals at one time using a limited amount of infrastructure. Integrated probes provide alerts in real time when there is an issue with the quality of service. TIM is also able to archive more than three months of their distributed content In addition, simple and intuitive Web-based system archiving capabilities used for content retrieval make it easier to find and view content.
