Challenge
Maxis wanted to enhance customer satisfaction by speeding up the pace at which they could deliver new products and services.
In order to bring new services to market more quickly, Maxis required a solution that included network simplification and the adoption of open systems and IP technology.
Solution
Maxis selected a consolidated voice and IP infrastructure built on the HP OpenCall Media Platform. The HP platform enabled development and delivery of voice and video services. It also allowed centralized monitoring and alarms, which facilitates management and enhances service quality.
HP OpenCall's support for VoiceXML, 3G and IP Multimedia Subsystem based services, among other open standards, allows Maxis to simplify the product development process.
Maxis is currently testing two partner applications on its consolidated platform. Other possible services include 3G video and voice related services.
