Overview

Time-to-market and adaptability of network services are vital to network service providers. In 2G and 2.5G mobile networks, Intelligent Network (IN) architectures remain a key framework enabler to developing, deploying and cost-efficiently maintaining large-scale interactive voice services.

The HP OpenCall Media Platform Intelligent Network (OCMP IN) is a network-shared voice resource for intelligent wireless and wireline networks supporting applications ranging from prepay and converged prepay to directory assistance automation. It is targeted specifically toward service providers with the need to consolidate legacy IN applications as well as Voice Extensible Markup Language-based (VoiceXML) applications on a shared infrastructure.

Key benefits

Not only does the HP OpenCall Media Platform IN product allow IN voice-enabled solutions to be delivered quickly and cost-efficiently, the HP OpenCall Media Platform IN's future-proof design supports the innovative services of both today and of the future. Key benefits include:

  • Rapid and cost-efficient deployment
  • Developer friendly
  • Low total cost of ownership
  • Carrier-grade scalability

  • Long-term viability

Key differentiators

  • Based on the HP OpenCall Media Platform, the industry's most comprehensive and mature voice service platform
  • Carrier grade IN voice solution based on high performance industry-standard hardware and open standards
  • Turnkey service interaction solution - packaged Intelligent Peripheral Service Resource Point (SRP)

  • Backed by HP's world-class, global delivery, support and services organization

Key features

The HP OpenCall Media Platform IN voice solution consists of two net-ready integrated voice solutions, an Intelligent Peripheral SRP — a pre-packaged and readily interoperable IN element, and a network interactive voice response (IVR) platform—along with its Service Execution and Creation environment.

  • Intelligent Peripheral SRP
    • HP OpenCall Media Platform IN is a plug-and-play intelligent peripheral that serves as a SRP, which facilitates the easy and rapid integration of voice resources in all intelligent networks.
    • Standard network interfaces allow HP OpenCall Media Platform IN to be controlled by any fixed or mobile network service control point (SCP).
  • Network IVR
    • The network IVR configuration allows the rapid deployment of IVR platforms into a time division multiplexing (TDM) network.
    • Together with the HP OpenCall Media Platform IN's Service Level Execution Environment (SLEE), a Service Creation Environment (SCE) WorkSCE is delivered as an option to create and fine-tune call flows. It may be also used for specific customization of an intelligent peripheral solution.
