Virtual Caller ID (VCID) is a low-cost alternative to traditional voicemail systems. VCID captures missed call information for handsets that are turned off, out of network coverage or are otherwise unavailable. It then delivers that information via SMS as soon as the handset becomes available. VCID can be implemented in most networks in less than five days.
