Course description

The purpose of this course is to provide comprehensive knowledge of the integrated services digital network (ISDN) user part (ISUP) of the HP OpenCall Signaling System 7 (SS7) platform protocol stack.

Course prerequisites

Mandatory:

  • Familiarity with intelligent network concepts
  • General ISUP and SS7 protocol knowledge
  • Familiarity with development on HP-UX
  • Familiarity with C/C++ programming language

This course is offered in English.

Course materials & methodology

  • Lectures are interspersed with hands-on exercises focusing on the ISUP tutorials (ISUP message exchange between client and server) delivered with the HP OpenCall ISUP package.

Each participant will receive a print of the course slides.

Training schedule

HP offers this course on an "on-demand" basis. 4 to 6 weeks lead time is required for course preparation. Course contents can be adapted to customer requests.

Training will be led by an HP senior consultant with a background in intelligent networks and with expertise in developing applications on the HP OpenCall SS7 platform.

Audience size

Classes are intended for a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 8.

Course location

This course is delivered in HP Grenoble, France or HP Cupertino (CA). Sessions can also be organized in other HP facilities or on customer's premises (in which case the customer is responsible for the training logistics).
