The purpose of this course is to enable application developers to design and develop service applications on top of the HP OpenCall SS7 3.2 (SIGTRAN).

Course benefit

Upon completing this course, participants will have mastered the main HP OpenCall SS7 3.2 (SIGTRAN) stack application development guidelines and will have gained sufficient knowledge of platform administration to be able to develop and test their own applications.

Software engineers, system engineers, and project managers who will be developing services using the HP OpenCall SS7 3.2 platform.

Course prerequisites

Mandatory:

  • Familiarity with intelligent network concepts
  • Familiarity with TCAP

  • Familiarity with C/C++ programming language

Lectures are interspersed with hands-on exercises. These practical sessions include:

  • Creating a simple client application
  • Creating a server application
  • Configuring Network (SCCP/M3UA/MTP)

Each participant will receive a print of the course slides.

Trainers profile

Training will be led by an HP consultant with a background in telecommunications, networks and expertise in HP OpenCall, SS7 and SIGTRAN protocols.

Audience size

Classes are intended for a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 8.

Course location

This course is delivered in HP Grenoble, France. Sessions can also be organized in other HP facilities or on customer's premises (in which case the customer is responsible for the training logistics).
