Configure the platform and the network, i.e. configure the OS environment, the signaling hardware, the signaling protocols, configure the network at each level of the stack
Start and stop the OC USP-M platform and check it is properly started or stopped
Monitor the platform, the network and the applications
Perform a first level of troubleshooting
Course prerequisites
Mandatory:
Familiarity with Linux or HP-UX depending on the selected solution
Familiarity with signaling protocols (SS7 or SIGTRAN M3UA according to the selected connectivity)
Good level of English the course is delivered in English

At the beginning of the course, each participant will receive a copy of all overhead slides.
Lectures are interspersed with demonstrations and/or hands-on exercises, with about one-third of the course dedicated to practical sessions. These typically include:
Platform and network configuration and validation of the configuration
Platform start-up and shutdown
Traffic generation
Use of the troubleshooting tools

Trainers profile
Training will be led by an HP senior consultant with a background in telecommunications, signaling protocol expertise, and experience in installing, maintaining and supporting HP OpenCall USP-M platforms.
